ZIZO ANNOUNCED AS A FINALIST IN THE BCS & COMPUTING UK IT INDUSTRY AWARDS
Following on from our recent Biztech Brightsparc Award win for Best Business to Business Technology Innovation and being a finalist in the Computing Magazine Vendor Excellence Awards in the Big Data Innovation of the Year category, we are extremely pleased to announce that we are now finalists in the BSC & Computing UK IT Industry Awards!
On 16th November, we will compete against other technology innovators to be declared as ‘Business IT Innovation of the Year’ at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London. Seen as the ‘benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the UK computing industry’, the awards recognise the contributions of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies to IT in the past twelve months.
Both developed and marketed in the UK from the new city of Milton Keynes, Zizo® is a strategic cloud database management platform conceived to meet the challenges of big data analytics. It allows organisations to quickly and easily get value from their data and gain insight into performance across the business; from operational and financial through to commercial, digital or social. By using the platform, no hardware, software, set-up costs or training is needed, so organisations are effectively able to rent the solution to suit their individual requirements. This is why leading companies from the world of retail, logistics, media and insurance have used our data science as a service solution to make significant savings for their business. One for example saved £200,000 in the first week of going live, and another £3 million from upgrading its existing system.
Paul Fletcher, Group Chief Executive Officer, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, said: “Congratulations to all the finalists in the 2016 UK IT Industry Awards - their talents should be truly celebrated. BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is here to make IT good for society and the Awards are a major part of this. They showcase not only the innovation and the professionalism of those working in IT, but also demonstrate the importance of IT in delivering economic and societal benefit.”
Stuart Sumner, Editor at Computing, added: “I would like to congratulate the finalists. The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged by a panel of peers and experts, and to be announced as a finalist really is a great achievement.”
Peter Ruffley, Chairman at Zizo, also commented: "We have always wanted to push the boundaries of our cutting edge technical capability, visualisation and databases, and as a team, we are doing new things with our customers that have been considered unachievable to date.
"As a business, we don't think businesses, whether that be large companies or SMEs should be precluded from having access to analytics at scale. We have created a solution that enables businesses to get involved in this area without huge investment and to have the solution included in these awards is a great honour."
